So I took my mid 09 white macbook into a simply mac store because a CD was stuck in the drive. the tech removed it with a sticky thing. He said he could check the drive, but I would have to check it in. Since I am a student, I need the it until the semester is over (two weeks). I decided to check to see if the drive would accept the CD, not intending to put one all the way in if it didn't. Now the drive has something blocking the CD from going in any more than half way. Is there some kind of manual switch that would prevent it from going in that they hit or is it broken? I haven't used the CD drive in a real long time but recently purchased an external hard drive for all my music and want to copy a few CD's I don't have already on my computer.

If the CD can't go in fully I would say it's most likely broken but you should definitely check with an Apple tech guy to make sure.
