CD drive not responsive.

Aluminum macbook pro with Snow Leopard. When I try to put a CD in, the drive is completely unresponsive, it goes most of the way in, then I feel like a spring pushing it back.
Pretty sure theres no CD in there, not 100% though.
Rebooted and reset PRAM and NVRAM, no change
Anyone know whats up?

...same computer with exact same problem. I have got the MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-868...updated and all, but still works when it feels like it. I was planning to upgrade or change

Same issue here with that drive. I'm going to the Genius Bar today to get it taken care of.
