This is strange, when i am burning small files (-40mb) i always use the finder since its quick and simple. Today i wanted to burn 20 pics on a CD so that i could print them when i go to the photo shop. I inserted the CD and it did not mount so i restarted my laptop twice and i still have the same problem. Last time i used the laptop was about 2 weeks ago and when i inserted a cd it would always mounted but for some reason it dose not now.

There is no problems with my cd drive since i was albe to burn teh pics into a cd using Toast (the cd mounted after i burned with toast) and i did not change any settings in System Preferences its kinda of all a sudden.

My friend also has teh same problem it happend to him aswell, one day it just did not work and he has to use toast everytime.

Two questions:
Do other CDs that you did not burn yourself mount OK?
Can you try mounting the disk manually using Disk Utility?

Also, check your CD/DVD notification settings in System Preferences.
