Hey all,
Just got my first mac and I'm loving it but I seem to be having a slight problem. I am trying to load my cd collection onto itunes and out of nowhere my cd-rom has decided to have problems reading most of my audio cds. The drive will spin the disc but not be able to read it. It'll try 3 times and then spit it back out.

Anyone have any experience with this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know the solution, but I thought I'd say I have this issue sometimes as well.

It will play DVDs, install Adobe CS3, play some music, burn a disc....but every once in a while there is a CD that it just does not like....unfortunately right now that is my Office 2004 disc....damn!

Since you just got it I would assume that it is still covered by AppleCare. If it is then take it in, it could be a dying optical drive, even if it isn't it would not hurt to be safe.
