cd-rw read problem

I've run into a weird problem. i burned a cd-rw disk with iphoto pics. i took the disk to a pc and had the files read. But when trying to read the disk in my machine again, nothing happens. The drive acts like it doesn't see the disk in the tray. there's no attempt to spin it up to read it. any ideas?

Are you talking about the iMac in your signature? Are other discs being read easily at the moment?

it's the same computer. i can read DVD-R and DVD-rw fine, as well as CD-R's.

Okay, cool. Have you restarted? Have you tried resetting the PRAM? 🙂

yes, i've tried both. no luck.
