ok so as soon as i get the iPhone 5, i am going to jailbreak my 4. i need to get past the setup screen without activating. so basically, an iPod touch. then i will jailbreak with green pois0n. is theree a way to do this?

I'm currently on iOS 5.1.1 non jailbroken as i have apple care, buttttt..... when i get a new iPhone, the apple care will transfer over
so i want to be able to get past the activation by verizon in order to use it as like an iPod touch.
Jailbreak your phone. It will not void your applecare. I don't know where you got that information. Worse comes to worst and you need to take your phone back to apple, you just restore it. There really is no reason not to jailbreak, if you're worried about warranty.
Not to mention you can hacktivate said phone, with Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze depending on firmware. Without it being jailbroken.
