I've searched around and just want a flat out answer.
I know the GSM iPhone 4 is built a lot differently, but I know the CDMA iPhone 4 is built extremely similar to the iPhone 4S. Question is, is the Digitizer/Screen on both models the same? And so, interchangeable?

I have an iPhone 4 (CDMA) that I need to replace the screen one, and I happen to have a spare 4S screen laying around. I read that 4S screens are compatible on GSM models IF YOU CUT THE LEGS and / or place the bezel, la la la, but nobody ever mentions the neglected CDMA model.

So, give me your words of wisdom, or word. I only need one.

You'd ruin an iPhone 4S instead of paying $100 for a 3rd party to replace your screen then selling the 4S?

I don't really understand what you mean, unless you think I'm taking a screen from a working 4S to put onto and fix 4 with? Which would make no sense for someone to do..

I said I have a spare 4S screen, just the screen. <3

I thought you meant you were taking the screen off a 4S to replace your 4's. oops, I was kinda blazed at the time but no matter, my bad.

The 4s and 4 CDMA displays are different. Very slightly but nonetheless, different. If you lay both parts flat with the display facing down and the home button closest to you...you will see on the left hand side there is 1 "tab" that is slightly different between the two. Of course you can always replace the bezel with the proper one but if you don't have one on hand, you can simply cut that one "tab" off and it will fit.

Just as an extra little tidbit, every display across the board (iPhone 4 GSM, iPhone 4 CDMA & iPhone 4s) use the same exact display. The flex cables are exactly the same and in the same position. The only difference between the 3 are the bezels.

Hope this helps! :)

I've repaired iPhones for 3 years now the digitizers for the iPhone 4 and 4s are exactly the same all you have to do is pull the plastic frames off. So if you have a iPhone 4S digitizer and you need a iPhone 4 Verizon digitizer you can take the frames off and swap them and it will work fine.

Oh how you do it is simple too take your thumb finger nail in between the plastic frame and glass of the screen and run it around the whole screen and the frame will come off. At first It feels like you might break the frame so I would do it to the 4s screen first before the 4 screen just to get the feel for it if there is broken glass along the frame of the 4 you can use a flat head to scrape the glass off
