CDVC avi codec

I received a avi file with a codec called CDVC. I can't find anything that will play this file. I am hoping to at some point get it into imovie.

This appears to be an old Canon codec for Windows Media.

CDVC stand for a canopus file. so far all i found out is that u need a converter to make it type 2 avi.
so far i have not found any way to import canopus files to mac programms.
if u have any more info let me know
