Here you go:
This is all Apples' fault, I can see apple $ reserve dwindling down
Also, I can't believe MR hasn't said anything about this yet. THis is MAJOR apple news since icloud was easily hacked since forever it appears. If MR really is an open source of informing all things apple, they should have already posted about this. They don't have to post the pictures of course, jut report on the news and show the findmyiphone icon as a picture for the post.
Maybe because it (maybe) has nothing to do with Apple? There is no official news that iCloud was hacked. Just the news that came up with that, since someone uploaded a tool to bruteforce iCloud passwords.
Guess what.. Everything can be bruteforced.
But if the celebs' accounts were bruteforced, the cracker would have:
- To know the celebs' iCloud e-mail address
- They would have been using a very weak password, since bruteforcing (especially on a website, that uses > 300ms to load) takes a VERY long time. Just trying the most 500 popular passwords would take a long time.
If the celebs' passwords were indeed bruteforced, the cracker would NOT have had access to Apple's servers. But I do agree that Apple should have made a bruteforce lock, e.g. made a delay on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... seconds when entering a wrong password, and ban for 15 minutes after XX attempts.
I just think the media is quick to blame Apple. It's a good story, with a great headline. And we all know what the news websites earn their money on: people clicking their links.
I also find it strange, that about 40% of the photos that shows a phone (e.g. picture taken in mirror) is not an iPhone. Also, the timing seems to be perfect, like someone is trying to blame Apple on purpose.
If Apple has any responsibility, we should know in a week. They have to notify users if there was a breach. But I really don't think to. It's all hot air.
