Is it reflective on your current data plan cycle? does it automatically reset when your cycle is over/restart? If so, does the phone detects when your cycle starts or ends and then the counter restarts?

Current Period refers to the period of time since the last reset. This has nothing to do with the cellular plan. You can see the beginning date of the current period by scrolling to the bottom and looking at the date under the reset option.

I believe you have to manually reset the counter when your new cycle starts. I wish it did tho.

I know my S5 did that, where I put when the billing cycle ends and it automatically resets after that date.

Yeah you need to reset it yourself. Not really that big of a deal for me because I just made a reminder that repeats every month.
