Right. I needed gps with my Air so I bought an Elf gps with lightning.

It's pretty good actually. Not obtrusive, and if all you need is gps is probably the way to go if you already have an iPad and are happy with it.

Just a thought.

What would you buy though? I just want feedback from people on it, not if I need it. I really don't need it but is it worth it for the convenience if I need the LTE, and now with the universal sim, I could try different networks too and go back to Verizon.

When I purchased my Air I decided to get a cellular model and even though I don't use the cell data that much I am very happy I have it. It's kind of like insurance.... You never need it until you need it but when you do you are very glad you have it. Public wifi can be very iffy and there are security concerns too.

My Air has super fast LTE performance through AT&T and I always get a good connection. I use the cell data in places where either the wifi is spotty or when I simply want my own connection.

I would not buy an iPad again without cell data. It's an option I'll always be going for.

That's my two cents.
