I was half hour away from uploading IOS as new, from scratch, doing it with Apple using iTunes having a complete picture of my phone, etc as a result of bad battery life, then...
I decided not to go thru with this drastic step because while I did notice a drastic drop off in battery life immediately after downloading 11.4.1, it might have improved a tiny bit since that time.
Since my use is mostly podcasts on WiFi and since I get about one hour usage per 13-15% of battery life, and since I see people reporting vastly better stats than that all the time, I thought about CELLULAR reception as another area to discuss.
I am Verizon and on my X there are a total of 4 bars (I guess all cell phones have the same icon for signal strength and all are 4 bars) and I would say that at my HOME I get one bar/LTE and most of the rest of the time it is between 2 and 3 bars/LTE.
So I assume I will get less battery life than someone who is constantly in 4 bars? I use WiFi calling at home, but other than that there is not much I can do to limit the battery use other than turning cellular off, which obviously I dont want to do most of the time, or is there?
