I have T-Mobile Pre-paid. I strongly prefer pre-paid service because I don't need to sign up for service with my Driver's License and my SSN. A while back, my data was sold on the dark web after an AT&T data breach. After that, I moved to pre-paid to protect my identity.

I want to add a cellular plan to my Apple Watch S9 and T-Mobile told me that I would have to sign up for post-paid service and provide my DL and SSN (ridiculous).

Does anyone know of a carrier that offers pre-paid service for an Apple Watch. Via Google, the only carrier I know of is Visible. Or perhaps a method of unofficially getting cellular service, like setting up an AW like an iPhone with a new number? Meaning, can I assign a regular phone plan to an AW?

Verizon Prepaid, Visible, and Cricket all support Apple Watch. With Verizon Prepaid, a phone line isn’t required. They all charge ten dollars per month but Verizon Prepaid adds a bit extra for taxes and fees, although not much.

I signed up for a standalone plan through Verizon this morning and setting up my Apple Watch S9 has been pure hell. I've been on the phone for 2 hours trying to get it activated but nothing is working.

I have a new phone number for the AW and Verizon is using my T-Mobile number to initiate a setup through the AW app on my iPhone. It isn't working.

Has anyone experienced this same problem and know of a solution?

I feel for you are customer service for all companies have slipped into the toilet! Chances are they have not provisioned you account correctly and the problem may not be on your end.
