Cellular version, are you forced to get subscription?

So if i decided to get the cellular version, do you HAVE to HAVE data plan with your carrier or can you opt not to use it and just use it as bluetooth? more like when you have an ipad and you can opt not to use the Data feature.

Basically, if you buy the cellular version aw4, can you turn off the cellular and not pay monthly for data?

Yes. At least in Series 3 you can skip cellular activation so you don’t need to pay the monthly fee when setting up the watch.

No. Had a series 3 for a year never got a cell plan.

the only reason i even paid for the damned cellular was cuz i wanted SS. not doing a monthly plan.
