I wish there was an option to have a Apple Watch that didn’t need to have an existing plan
plus a wearable add on plan. It would be a great if we could have the watch capable of
functioning on its own for simple operations. Calls, texts, health related info, without an iPhone
Being in the equation. I realize some functionality would go out the window.

Form me... calls, texts, map, fitness and maybe one or two other things would be great. Could
Sync with my iPad if I wanted to see health data easier. I would pay double that of the standard wearable add on (usually $10) $20.

Would anyone else like a stand-alone watch / plan or am I crazy lol??

I could definitely see the appeal of a stand alone watch for basic comms and other features but I need a phone anyway so for me it doesn’t matter. An iPad is too big to lug around everywhere. Would need some more apps like Notes and Files for my case. Notes should be a possibility but I don’t ever see Files being added.

With all this new foldable stuff going on, I wonder if there would ever be a possibility of a folding watch with the outward visible screen side using the always on feature?! I would love that if the profile somehow stayed slim.
