Censorship enforced by mods

Very interesting - I think maybe my frustrations with the Suspended accounts and blaming the mods for this may be unfounded.

A little story that you might find interesting: a couple of years ago we had an issue where a different website got hacked, and the email addresses and passwords of its members got out into the open. Some members here on MacRumors had the same email addresses and passwords on their accounts. We asked the affected members to change their passwords, but due to the way the forum software works, affected members showed as Suspended until they did so.

While a suspension is usually in response to a member's actions, you might occasionally see the label on "undeserving" members.

I agree, this is a totally disingenuous conversation. But I'm not clear on what the real issue you have with my verbiage, then.
