Some people don't use a case.
Check out that ugly top level nav. Maybe eventually these things will boot right into CarPlay and skip the custom interface.

And how many people have the skills to do that? I can rebuild an engine and set up axle gears, but ask me to build a custom dash piace like that and it's going to look like crap.
Also, that's no where near single DIN.

Looking at the faceplates of both these units I don't see a USB port on either. If I'm driving any distance, exactly how am I supposed to keep my iPhone charged?Back to the old cigarette lighter adapters? Seems a clunky solution.
Yes, I've noted that most of these units have one or more USB ports on the rear. But I don't exactly see the usefulness of these while recharging. Unsightly power cord dangling out somewhere (exactly where?), with iPhone awkwardly resting in ashtray while recharging? Seems to me that the proper place for a port ought to be on the front of the unit.If you read through the specs you'll see they have rear USB ports.
