It's cliche, but take care of your car and it'll take care of you. My 2007 Passat is still going strong. I've gotten all scheduled maintenance and no problems thus far. Only 45K miles on this sucker though!

Seriously -- the only reason I'm not still driving my 2002 Saturn is because some idiot ran a red light, causing a 5-car pile up, and my poor car (with only 80k miles on it) died a horrible, painful death ... while I walked away with a few bruises.

That said, I do love my 2012 Jetta (the car I purchased in 2012 to replace my Saturn); I haven't loved that the bluetooth syncing seems to be hit or miss with the music, but I have an old 2nd generation iPod nano in the glove box that solves that problem. I'd love to get more integration, though - particularly maps/gps, but I still don't know that CarPlay is the road I want to take with that. It's going to be a while before I could afford it, at any rate, so I'll just go back to lurking in the shadows and watching for the reviews.

Still requires a USB wired connection though. Apple are supposed to be allowing over wireless which is much better. My current RNS510 pairs with my 5S for handsfree phone/audio streaming over bluetooth so CarPlay needs to at least match that.
