YMMV, but I ditched my Wemo switches (three of them) for the Lutron Caseta kit. Not because of homekit, but because I was having a hell of time keeping the Wemo's up. The firmware updates would either brick the devices which would require a hard restart or completely removing from power and then reconnecting. Unreliable and I had a very strong wifi connection that was close by. The plug in switch was the same. Again your mileage may very, but they did not work for me. The Lutron kit has been freaking rock solid and with the Ecobee integration I have been more than pleased!!!

Excited to see what other items come out this year as I am looking for a few more devices to add to the growing collection.

Interesting. Hopefully they'll do a EU-plug version.

This is exactly what I want too. I don't want an outlet, with a plug on top and then another power cable connected to that. To bad it's US only.

I'm glad they finally added an in-wall switch dimmer... I'm happy with me wemos. I share everyone's wishes for home kit integration, but to be honest once i set all my lights on a timer I rarely turn them on and off manually anyway. If I had to choose between the in-wall dimmer and home kit, I'll pick the dimmer every time.

From my understanding the only way WEMO could add home kit support would be with a bridge, as the hardware isn't capable of meeting apple's security standards on it's own.
