I'm on the fence. I have a ton of Wemo outlet switches but I'd rather not add another device to my setup. Adding the Philips bridge was enough for me.

I'll give Homebridge another try. Last time I spent 2 hours trying to install it on my iMac but Homebrew kept complaining about problems with dependencies.

i think I'll try it on a Linux VM next time.
Homebridge installed easily enough , but I could not get it to work. There were 2 wemo plugins for Homebridge, I tried them both and neither could detect my WeMo devices. Apple HomeKit could see the HomeBridge server, but that's it.

The documentation is almost none existent. Configuration is done by copying the template ( no instructions ) and then guessing your way though the setup process by trial and error.

I found several threads about configuring WeMo devices across the Web,but none of their configuration files worked.

So, I back-ordered the WeMo Hub :)
