Scoche mounts were never strong enough to hold my Plus iPhones in my Wrangler JK.
Do you off road a lot? If so, that would explain it. I just drive city and highway and hardly ever have problems and I use a 6s Plus in a case.

One little bump on the road... and uh oh.

Not sure if you're speaking from experience or just assuming about something you've never tried as is unfortunately common. Have you used magsafe in a vehicle?

I've been using magnetic mount in my truck for four years now. It sure doesn't have a cushy suspension and bumps in the road haven't yet knocked my phone off the mount. I dunno if Magsafe is weaker or stronger, so it'd be great if you'd describe your actual experience with it. Thanks.

and instead of using Apples puck an integrated solution with stronger magnets (you don’t want these flying around) and without visible cables would actually be a cool product

I don’t anywhere near as much as I want to, but even general city driving in a Wrangler would cause the phone to fall off of the magnetic charger.

I live in Pittsburgh, if that helps explain that statement, lol.

I personally hate the BYOB (chargers/cables) that seemingly started with the Apple watch.
You are basically paying full price for basically a 3D print job.

Okay, maybe we are talking about different products? The one I use is here, it is different from their magnetic charger.

I mean yeah, sure

Except Scosche has been making phone magnetic-mount solutions for cars for maybe a decade or so now. Even with the thin slice of metal glued to the back of my iPhone and just 4 small magnets, it's never once failed me. Now that apple does half of the hard work; providing a magnetic mounting standard? I'm sure it would hold just fine..

I've been using this Schosche charger/mount in my car along with a Speck Presidio Mount case on my XS Max for around 2 years now. I've been very happy with it. The only time my phone has fallen off was when it got bumped by someone or something else (like grabbing my computer bag from the passenger seat to get out of the car). Driving down the road it is rock solid.

When I finally upgrade my phone again I will not hesitate to look at any Schosche MagSafe mounts they have out at that time. Hopefully by then they will be able to build everything in rather than relying on an Apple MagSaft charger like these. I'm sure these will work well, I'm just not a fan of the white wire sticking out like it does.
