CES is continuing on, and MacRumors videographer Dan Barbera has been wandering the show floor to find interesting products, some of which are Apple related and some of which are just neat.

Cars might not be the main focus of CES, but there are definitely vehicles to check out. Sony and Honda teamed up for the Afeela, a $90k car with a futuristic design and a whole glut of screens inside, plus a built-in gaming system. It's an EV that can go up to 300 miles, and it has some autonomous driving features.

As for more traditional tech, the Displace is a truly wireless TV that can run off of batteries, so it technically doesn't need to be plugged in except when it's charging. It comes in 27-inch and 55-inch models, and has an OLED display. There are attachments for HDMI inputs, a browser for watching any internet-based content, and apps, and it can apparently be mounted in 10 seconds using an active suction system.

Pricing starts at $2,499. While there's a 10,000mAh battery and extra battery accessories available, Displace didn't share details on how long the battery lasts in the standard models. The company's website suggests that the more expensive Pro model lasts for up to 60 hours when included speakers and soundbar are attached.

Other highlights from the show floor so far included the tri-fold ultra portable projector from Aurzen, multi-camera bird feeder from Birdfy, a couple of robot lawnmowers, and the Hypershell Exoskeleton.

Dan will be checking out more products today, so make sure to stay tuned to see tomorrow's CES roundup video. We're also covering announcements from CES, which you can check out at our CES 2025 hub, plus we did a Day 1 CES video and a Day 2 CES video.

I don't think you've covered the new bidet. I see a new health niche for Apple to explore: https://www.ces.tech/ces-innovation-awards/2025/digital-healthcare-bidet/

I recently acquired one and my life has completely changed. I had no idea. I had to tell the guys I lift with about this miracle tech and one said "Don't ever bring that **** into the gym again.......EVER." So I took my bidet and went home.
Bidets are great, but if you're not able to wipe cleanly without one, you're not eating compatibly for your body in the first place and your gut is telling you via Mud-Butt.

A proper stool should be neither too hard nor too soft and leave zero residue on toilet paper at all.

I'm guessing the Hypershell is a mobility assistance device? Useful for the gamer whose legs have atrophied.

All the TVs were wireless when I was a kid. The TV signal came out of the sky and into something called an antenna. Oh, and they were all instant-on too—no waiting for the thing to wake up, establish a connection, launch apps, etc. It was truly incredible technology. (Wasn’t battery powered, but hey, who needs that for a device that sits next to a power point 24/7.)

The goldilocks p00p... just right. Regarding bidets.. would you clean your muddy hands with a dry towel? Exactly.

If there’s one device in my house I don’t need wireless, it’s my tv. Not sure the application for domestic use, maybe corporate use for wheeling out during presentations but not really domestic use.
The 27” could be useful as a large easily moveable monitor.

I do not understand how its legal to have so many screens if any screens in a car. It wasn't that long ago where you would get a ticket if you used your phone while driving, now we have a cinema display built in the dashboard

Been using bidets for about 15 years, but our new one lifts and closes the lid automatically…scared the hell out of my mother-in-law, so there’s that…

What a "great" invention: a battery powered tv ... good for camping, otherwise bu llshit.

The TV that runs completely on battery is interesting. 60 hours battery life is also quite good. Nice to see such new ideas at CES.

Those vehicles also have lane assist and other safety features to assist with driving and that offsets the risk of me driving with Vision Pro on. Seriously though, rules are very arbitrary. I have to pay for a sticker on my license plate each year that does nothing.

With America soon to be "great again" and prices that are going to come down on everything from groceries to fuel (I was told) I can't wait to buy all this tech. I'll take 1 of everything. I was taught that if America can continue to ring up a deficit that I only live once and I should rack up every credit card I have, re finance my house to the max and get to livin'. How many more days left till all the prices plummet finally again? :p #YoLO

$90K with max 300 miles? Yeah, good luck with that. Afeela Afailure.

Silly name and non-logo. Obviously should have been named SONY. Honda name for cars is taken and so it's the obvious name for the collab as it's a simple friendly instantly recognisable brand name globally, beyond even the name Honda. Also preferred its gen one concept styling. Tease a nice concept and release something uglier. Always the way.

Bird feeder with three cameras hanging off it and solar panels "made from plastic for sustainability". I've heard it all. Saving the planet one ridiculously unnecessary bird feeder at a time.

Traditional bird feeders are made from wood that literally grows.

From the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be about the "wireless" TV…. that still needs to be plugged in to power, and has an external video-input box (that just talks wirelessly to the TV, and needs its own separate power connection.)

THAT one was silly. I mean, just have the one wire go to the video-input box, and have just the video-input box plug in to power. No need to deal with silly wireless video signal transmission, and since you have to have a wire anyway for power, it even SAVES a power connection.

At least the battery powered TV has *SOME* uses that aren't patently ridiculous.

Now that AMD announced at CES that their Ryzen Processor will follow Apple's M chip architecture, I'm concerned about the impact on PC users like myself who value the freedom to customize and build our own machines. Several questions come to mind: Windows OS will likely need a significant redesign since it won't interact with components in the traditional way. For gamers who typically purchase separate graphics cards, what options will remain? Will they need to run multiple cards, potentially affecting game performance, or will these all-in-one chips provide everything needed? How will this shift affect the many businesses in the PC component industry? While this approach works for Apple because they control their hardware ecosystem and aren't primarily focused on gaming, what happens if Intel follows the same path? Will graphics cards become obsolete, ending the era of custom PC building? I even managed to build a Hackintosh! Is anyone else concerned about this direction? Rather than debating who pioneered the all-in-one chip concept, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you envision this future unfolding.
