Hi folks,

Just a heads up.

If you have an online account with second-hand retailer CeX, they've just announced a security breach that affects up to two million customers. More information can be found here: https://uk.webuy.com/guidance/

Information such as customers' first name, surname, addresses, email address, phone number, and expired debit and credit card numbers are some of the items of information that may have been stolen.

CeX advises customers "as a precautionary measure" to change their password on the CeX website and any other services where the same password may be shared.

Changed my password on the site, original password wasn't reused elsewhere. Please they've fessed up and given guidance on what to do and what one might expect.

Always sold my older Apple gear onto them, wound up making as much as eBay after fees etc. Also bought my original 42mm stainless steel watch and Milanese strap from them. Not to mention they're my de facto video games shop both for buying outright and trade ins.

I often browse CEX but never could bring myself to buy stuff from them apart from the odd DVD a few years ago.
