After 5 years, I think I’ve mastered the art of not banging my watch everywhere especially with a new one.

I haven’t banged my Apple Watch Series 6 that I’ve gotten in September 18.

I’m surprised because I’m not overly thinking about it anymore. And I’m pretty lucky so far to not have swung it anywhere. Moving my watch arm behind my back or stop swinging it has become like second nature when I’m near bricks or tables.

Though, once I bang it, I feel like that sense of protecting it will be gone like it did last year even though my silver stainless steel was pretty pristine.

29 day streak baby! 👶 🍼

I‘ve gone without hitting something with my Apple Watch maybe 6 hours. Happens to me regularly, I don‘t care. I am not being careless with the things I own, but with the AW I would have to go out of my way to keep it in mint condition and I am just not willing to do that. Apart from a few blemishes on the case it is holding up pretty well.

🤔🤔🤔 not sure what definition “careless” means to you, but what you said is funny

😄😄 Yes, maybe I should have said „I don‘t mind“. What I actually mean is that I am not generally being careless in handling the tech products I own. But the way a watch is worn and the way I move around day to day, it is simply more prone to hitting a door frame or a table top than, say, my iPhone. I would have to go out of my way to stop that from happening. It happens every once in a while. Maybe I am just too clumsy. 😉

I don’t generally bang anything. So my Apple Watch series 4 has been in mint condition since last few years. No marks anywhere.

Like this thread. 😆
I've been banging my Series 4 on every corner, even when it was impossible.
Since the delivery of the Series 6 fortunately not yet.

From my position quite an amazing feat. I‘ve only really started wearing watches, when the AW came out. And I cannot count the times...🙈
My mother was Swiss and it was a rite of passage for me and my siblings to be presented with a Swiss watch when we were considered, by our parents, to be responsible enough to look after it. I’ve always worn a watch, played lots of different sports, military service and own over 20 watches - one for 50 years. I’ve never bashed one.

However, since buying my first Apple computer on your wrist, aka the Apple Watch, I’ve not worn anything else.

I'm exactly the same, after 2+ years I have a couple small scratches that are only visible at certain angle on my glass but case is like new
Edit: big part of the reason why I have AC+

Well I got my series 5 on Dec 29, so since then I guess. There’s not a scratch or blemish on it.

Yeah. I got AC+ this year, I had no idea it was only $99.

In fact I got AC+ for my old series 5 as well, almost a whole year since I first got it

As trivial as it may sound, my older previous generation Apple watches I sold in mint condition. [And I mean not even a hairline scratch that you could find with a flashlight on the display like some
pedantic members do on here.😁] I think that helps partially with long sleeves and I’m usually not accident prone like others are.
