HomeKit Chamberlin MyQ. What do I need?

This is what I currently have foy my garage door opener but I want to add it to Homekit. It works fine from the Chamberlin app but HomeKit does not come up with compatible programs.

If I replace my current MyQ with this, will it work?

is it HomeKit Compatible, is the HomeKit logo on the box?

You need the second one for HomeKit. The first one is for doors that aren’t WiFi at all.

To use HomeKit with the MyQ app, you need to have the MyQ Bridge (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...MYQ-G0303-SP&usg=AOvVaw1M2mM18xDc3ZEEujBRj7Ss)

Or you can set up HomeBridge on an always on Mac or Raspberry Pi and use that to emulate the bridge.

I put HomeBridge on my Mac for a long time and it worked just fine. iMore has a good tutorial on how to set it up.

Also, when I hook this up, will I be able to say "Hey Siri, open Garage door Two" If not, I will just keep using the MyQ app.

Edit: Searching under "CarPlay" it looks like when you get close to your house it goes into "Home" mode.

Yes to both. It will suggest the most recent door you’ve operated on CarPlay when you get to within about 500 ft of the door. Very handy! Siri works as well.

You keep your existing unit and add the Home Bridge. One Home Bridge can control multiple MyQ devices.

Ahhh so it picks the most recent door. I couldn’t figure out how that worked. I wish they’d change that or display all door options.
