What do you think the chances are the new iMac gets an intel hex-core CPU as a build to order option?

    Thanks

Hex cores are expensive and hot. OK in a tower but not in an iMac. Maybe when Haswell arrives.

    Zero chance, or nearly zero.

Could be quad-core-everything, with your choice of i5/i7 at varying speeds.

Absolute zero. Even if Apple does provide that option, you can be certain the price for that upgrade will be $1k+.
