Change color of iPhone X preordered

Anyone tried to call Apple to change the color of the phone ordered already WITHOUT losing your ship date? I have a black iPhone X scheduled to be delivered 11-17 to 11-24 and I want to change to white only if I don’t lose my ship date. Thanks in advance.

You can't do this. You can cancel and re-order and get whatever ship date the model you want has. That's it.

Did you call? What did they say? Most likely you'll have to cancel and re-order. I know you can call apple and change the payment method without affecting the date. Not sure about changing the color
