Change color of thred visited

Is there a way to make it so when I open a thread it changes the link color or some other indicator so I know which thread I visited? It doesn't seem to be doing that for me. Thanks in advance.

Threads with unread posts should have their titles in bold. Otherwise they should be in regular font. It doesn't automatically update though...requires a page reload in order to be brought up-to-date.

not sure if that's true. I think bold is "new" which isn't the same as visited.

Visited links don't make as much sense on a forum since a thread can be replied to, and have new information but already "visited".
