When searching for a connection AirPort came up with a strong signal from Ride Your Bike. I tried to log on but it required a password as a guest even though showing it was not encrypted. Since that time Ride Your Bike has become the default connection regardless of where I am. When I sign on to my home modem as soon as I leave the computer for a short time Ride Your Bike takes over again and I have to re-connect to my own modem.

I want to remove Ride Your Bike from its self imposed default position and can't find how in "help". Perhaps I'm asking the wrong question, using the wrong words.

MacBook Air 1.8GHz with Snow Leopard, Virus Barrier X6, and current all up-dates.

Click on wi-fi in the Menu, then look at the bottom and select "Open Network Preferences" at the bottom of the list.

This should open "Network" in System Preferences. From there select Advanced.

That should open a screen where you can remove or rearrange your network connections.

    thanks

I moved my home connection to the top, I'll see how that works. I didn't see how to delete Ride Your Bike however.

    thanks again

Even better, if only I knew what I was looking at sometimes. Now I feel better than James Brown.
