Change default video app

I want to change the default application that opens video files from quicktime to VLC. I looked in VLC's preferences but I couldn't find an option to do it. I'm sure somebody here can tell me how to do it.

Find a file that of the type you want to change.

Hit Cmd-I to "Get Info."

Go to "Open with:"

Change it to VLC.

Click on "Change All..."
