Is there a way to set the text size for all folders on a Mac to display in a specific size? I can do it for a single folder using these instructions

https://support.apple.com/guide/mac...con-list-column-gallery-view-mchldaafb302/mac

but the changes only effect the folder displayed. I would like to have the Finder list view text size set to 14 for all folders, but changing a folder, and clicking "use as defaults" does not seem to work.

-- EDIT --

Found the answer. Had to delete all the .DS_Store files on a volume after changing the defaults. Relaunch the Finder and all folders now use the default list text size.

Good, now maybe mark your thread as "Resolved"
Click the little gear icon (top-right) area of your post and edit the thread title.

I’m trying to do the same to set all icons to 72x72 by default, on a whole hard drive. Is it there a way to do this quickly??? I mean, a way to delete all .DS_store files in a drive at once.

Thank you.

I use EasyFind to search and delete all files named .DS_store. Takes a couple of minutes.

Yeah but... I think APFS or Catalina doesn’t allow you to see the DS_store file. I know this was posted on Mojave subforum, but actually I think now it is more difficult.

I‘ll take a look on EasyFind, and if I can’t I’ll open a new thread on Catalina subforum.
Are you able to see DS_store files when revealing the hidden files on Catalina? Or are you still on Mojave?

EDIT: I have that app. It’s pretty awesome, although lately I rely on Spotlight only.
EDIT2: BINGO, awesome app indeed. Found all the DS_Store files. THANK YOU!!!!

Still, I want to learn more about .DS_Store, .fseventsd and .Spotlight-V100 and their roles on APFS/Catalina.
