change hard drive mbp retina model

Hi,

I am looking at getting a macbook pro 13" retina model, from late 2012 and onwards.

I would like to change the hard drive internally, is this possible?

I heard it can be done, but its difficult. I would obviously take it to a specialist who can do it.

The late 2012 rMBP uses an SSD not an HDD.
Not sure what aftermarket drives are available.

it depends on the model. If its 2012 or early 2013, it is possible you can replace the drive

They changed the SSDs to use PCIe in late 2013. To my knowledge, there are no aftermarket options for the PCIe SSDs.
