How does one change the icon of a desktop link? I have created a link on my desktop to my blog's post editing site and would like to have the word press logo instead of the safari on paper logo that appears. What type of icon files must I use? .PNG, .ICNS, some other? I have googled this question for the last hour and nothing I have found has worked. Surely this is a trivial process.

I'm running OSX 10.8.2.

forgive me if im wrong but in my experience of changing icons you copy the icon you want to use and then cmd+i of the link (get info) , click unlock if needed and then cmd+v on the icon you want to replace.

hopefully that makes sense (it does in my head)
