so i want to use expose and to show all windows the keyboard shortcut is f9 but i have to push fn f9, while f9 changes the brightness of the backlight. Is there a way to switch these so that f9 is the primary and backlight dimmer is the fn?

Thanks for any help

System Preferences --> Keyboard & Mouse --> Keyboard

Tick the box next to "Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features." Unfortunately, this means that you'll also have to use the fn key if you want to change the screen brightness or volume, but you'll be able to get Exposé with a simple press of F9.
