Hello,

i'm using Apple Mac OSX SL in french and I noticed that a few months ago, some of my default folders such as Downloads, Desktop, Images, Videos etc, switched from french to english. So now when I click on Users-MyName I have half the list in English, half the list in French. The problem is, how can I change those folders back in French? I tried to rename them but their names are locked... Can someone help me? It would be great!
Thank you all,

Augustin

No I'm from Belgium, EU ..
I don't know what happened but their name switch from french to english and it's very annoying ..

com.apple.finder.plist & com.apple.desktop.plist

Those files are found in Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences
One at a time (if you want to know which one was corrupt) move them to the Desktop, then Restart.
Restarting will create a new plist file, set to default values.

If the problems go away, that file was the cause.
If not, you can always put it back (if other things get messed up) and overwrite the defaults. But, if you haven't changed anything, (preferenced for Finder or Desktop) you won't notice a difference.
