I can't ssh into my phone (doesnt work with my computer).

Before, when I launched ROck it asked me to change the password and I did.

I reset my phone to factory settings and now Rock hasn't asked me to change it. Is there a cydia or rock repo I can download to change the root pass?

Whats the repo for it after you download the source? LIke for mobile term? WHich I thought doesn't work on the iphone4

Google for Mobile Terminal 426, and find the Debian package. You will need CyberDuck or WinSCP to copy it somewhere. Once you do that, ssh in, and install the package using dpkg -i.

Now, restart Springboard. You should have a working terminal.

I downloaded iSSH terminal, and theat does work on OS4.
Was able to change password with this app

May I ask what the advantages are of changing this root password?
I have read a few threads on the topic but none that would explain the reasons
