Yeah, based on the year/model, it ranges from like 5 minute job, to rather involved, to impossible.

Took me about 15 minutes with my mid 2012 MBP the other week. Easy.

first you probably need a pentalobe screwdriver
then go to ifixit.ccom to see if your beloved MacBook can be upgraded.
just make sure you disconnect the battery before swapping drives.
