    Hi Macheads! =)
My stepmom's booting her very first Mac, and the first sound she hears (The booting sound, y'know the 'Dunh') she complains about. xD
Anybody know where these sounds are located, or how to change it? :3 (It's Leopard, so xSounds is not the way.

Sorry if this has already been asked, couldn't find it if so.

That's the Mac POST "beep", letting you know all is well. Tell her she'll get used to it. ;)

EDIT: Actually, I've noticed under Leopard that if I have sounds muted when I shut down, the chime isn't there when I boot again.

Its hard-wired in so to speak, you can not change it.

There are third party apps that will mute the sound on shutdown, then un-mute it at boot.
