Change to IUP after Pre-Order?

Quick question..

I’ve seen from several people ordering iPhones for store pickup that they’ve been able to change to IUP payments upon collection.

However when I ordered IUP or store pickup wasn’t available so my iPhone X will be delivered to home. If I take it to the Apple store from my home will they be able to set up IUP or will they say it’s too late as I’ve already received it?
