Can anyone help me fixing this issue. I went to change the username etc by right clicking on the user and clicking advanced settings. I changed the id and deleted the account name and group. Now When starting up I only have other account left and the main user which is invisible. Im sure I've broken something because I also get keychain message asking for password everytime I login. Heres a screen shot of the problem.

I'm not sure that it will recover anything for the account. But the original admin account on the machines I've setup have all been User ID 501, with subsequent users going up from there, and a Group of staff.

The second user I add to the machine is always user ID 502, with the same group. I honestly don't know if changing those values to match mine would fix any of your issues.

Thanks yeah I tried that and it it didn't work. Just reset the whole computer and seemed to refresh all accounts! Problem solved. Lol shouldn't have disregarded the blatant warning before changing settings. Literally ****ed my whole computer

Changing a personal account to be root just isn't ever going to work, so don't do that. If you want to use root, enable it the supported way, with Directory Utility, and don't change the name of the account.
