Okay, this is only a small thing, but it's driving me crazy. I've checked everywhere, and can't find the answer....

I have three icons on my dock that link to application, downloads, and documents. The applications and download icons are a folder and have a little embossed icon in the middle. The documents icon is a set three folders.... I have a screenshot here.

I would like to make the documents folder the same as the other two (a single folder icon with the embossing in the middle). On both my other two macs, this is the case. When I open up the icon with "get info" this is the case. I know how to open up the icons using "get info" and use cut and paste to change their appearance. But no matter what I do, it still stays the same, as in the screen shot.

Sorry, it is only a small thing, but I like consistency, and having one different is annoying. Thanks in advance for any help.

Right-click on the icon in your Dock and select [Display as] Folder.

OMG. And here I was cutting and pasting, doing and undoing, searching the web and all sorts of other things!

    Thank you so much. :)

Apparently you had not looked "everywhere". ;)
Glad you found it. It's always in the last place you look!
