All,

I have NeoOffice and recently acquired iWork. I have lots of old .doc files that I have transported over from my PC. These always open in NeoOffice and I would like them to default open in Pages. How do I set all .doc files to open in Pages rather than in Neooffice?

Thanks for all the help.

Darin

Hi,
Ctrl + click on a .doc file (any one) and select 'Get Info'
About half way down there is an option 'Open With'. Change that to Pages, and you get a button to change all. Click that and you're done.

Glad I ran into this thread...I am new to Mac, as I had no idea how to change file associations either. I download & watch a lot of .avi files, so of course I installed VLC to watch all my videos. It was annoying to double-click an .avi file only to have Quicktime pop up...
