I know how to change a files icon...

http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/how-to-change-mac-os-x-leopard-icons/

But is it possible to change the the icon for a particular file type in general.
For example... .flv files are a blank sheet by default. i want to change it so all .flv files show a quicktime icon without having to do them all separately... and so whenever i download a .flv file in future it will automatically assign a quicktime icon?

Anyone?

Many Thanks!

1. I don't know if Quicktime supports flv files.

2. You can change all files with the .flv extension, by opening one of them in the Get Info dialog box (Finder Menu). Where it says "Open With", use the drop down and select Quicktime Player". Then click the "Change All..." button.
