So I've decided to go with a dark color scheme to reduce eye strain but I've encountered a problem.

Even though you can change the background color of each Finder window to have a black appearance, the Folder text is also black (obviously for use with the default white background). However, this is counter intuitive if you choose to use a dark colored finder color and seems odd.

So my question is this: How does one change the default text color of finder folders and items from the default black to white? (Or any color for that matter)

You cant change the font colour, but if you right click/control-click on each application or item, you can label it. this puts a sort of "background" just around the text.

hope it helps. :)
