I was wondering how you would go about changing your HD icon on your desktop and folders. I remember being able to do that with the older macs. I'm trying to figure that out on my present mac book pro, but with no luck. Can we even change the icons? What about the icons for the docks?

To change most icons all you have to do is select the item, hit Get Info (cmd-i) and copy/paste the new icon over the existing icon in the top of the Get Info box.

Copy/Paste from one "Get Info" window to another. In other words, select your drive on the desktop and do a "Get Info" on it. In the window, select the icon and paste a new one on it.

Same thing for folders.
