Changing iPad name does not show up on other devices?

I changed the name of my iPad in the About section, though when I look at my devices from my iPhone it still shows the old name. I'm thinking of logging out of iCloud on my iPad, and logging back in, though if I do, I'm wondering what data it will erase from the iPad? Is there some other way to get the name to update?

Changing iPad name won’t change your iPhone name. They are totally independent. You have to change your iPhone name or your iPhone.

if you want to change Apple ID name go ahead and change it at https://appleid.apple.com.

Give it some time. I have seen it take a few days, but the new name will eventually populate.

Make an iTunes purchase, like renting a film or something. It will change immediately after.
