changing keyboard in a 2008 aluminium macbook

So just yesterday my friend gave me his old 2008 2.0 Ghz macbook to bring it up to standard, as he was constantly complaining about it. I am planning to up the Ram to 8gigs and get a nice SSD in there. I also wanted to add a backlighted keyboard, but have only found expensive options around the internet (top case replacement etc.). Now my question is: is it possible to install a mbp keyboard into the macbook, are the connectors the same?
