Hi all

Having moved to Europe I recently had my Macbook's keyboard changed to the french keyboard layout.

I have changed the keyboard language in the System Preferences/International/Input Menu panel which is fine once I am logged in.

However before I log in the keyboard is still set up as a US layout, which means I have to type my password as if I was still using a US keyboard.

My question is: How can I change the systemwide keyboard language setting?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I had this happen and I got around it by enabling the following option

System Preferences - Accounts - Login Options -Show Input menu in login window

I then changed the option, to the correct input, once and it never reverted again.
