Changing MacBook Pro 2017 A1706 13" i5 dual 3.1Ghz logic board to i7 dual 3.5...

Hi all.
My MBP battery has bit the dust and needs a new one.
This 2017 MBP has the touch bar and 4 thunderbolt ports which is a very nice thing considering the next model only had 2 ports.

Anyway I've read that all the logic boards on this particular model, of which there were 3, are completely interchangeable.

Can someone chime in here?

I believe they were, but you have to take into account the modified heat sink for the CPU.
