is there a way to convert windows media files so that they can be played on a mac???

http://www.flip4mac.com/

google next time, please. its how I found it.

You can still download Windows Media Player for mac, and play them that way, but if you like Quicktime you will hate the WMP controls. Plus there is no "fast forward" you can only skip.

With Flip4mac, you can play WMVs in quicktime just like any .mov you have.
